Royal Hospital of Our Lady Guadalupe - Spanish Military Hospital Museum

The Spanish Military Hospital Museum building is a reconstruction of a Military Hospital that stood on this site during the Second Spanish Colonial Period, 1784-1821. Showcased in the museum are areas of Military Hospital life you would have experienced had you been a patient in 1791.

THE MOURNING ROOM

Equipped with the Priest's tools for blessing the patient before death occurred.


THE SURGEON'S OFFICE

View the tools of the trade and find out what practices are still used today.

THE WARD

Strict regulations dictated by the Government of Spain defined medical care in the Royal Hospital.

THE APOTHECARY

The Apothecary was the only staff members allowed to dispense medicines
Hours of Operation
Monday through Saturday:
10:00 AM until 5:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM
